Ms. Darunee Sarimarun has been appointed as General Manager of Travelodge Sukhumvit 11 in Bangkok, effective July 29, 2025. K. Orathai Thong-ngam has been appointed as Area General Manager – Chiang Mai, overseeing U Nimman Chiang Mai, U Chiang Mai, Eastin Tan Hotel Chiang Mai, G Nimman and Travelodge Nimman Chiang Mai, effective August 4, 2025.
Absolute Hotel Services Appointment of K. Orathai Thong-ngam as Area General Manager – Chiang Mai
We are proud to announce the appointment of K. Orathai Thong-ngam as the new Area General Manager – Chiang Mai, effective August 4, 2025.
In her new role, K. Orathai will oversee the operations of three key properties: U Nimman Chiang Mai, U Chiang Mai, Eastin Tan Hotel Chiang Mai, G Nimman and Travelodge Nimman Chiang Mai. Her leadership will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, enhancing guest satisfaction, and strengthening the strategic positioning of these hotels in the Northern Thailand market.
With over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, K. Orathai has held senior management roles across Thailand and Laos, including her most recent position as General Manager overseeing multiple properties under ONYX Hospitality Group. Her extensive background includes successful tenures with leading brands such as Dusit Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International, and ONYX Hospitality Group, where she demonstrated exceptional skills in strategic planning, financial management, and team development.

Ms. Darunee brings over 20 years of hospitality experience to her new role, with a strong background in hotel operations, financial performance, and team leadership. Her career includes successful tenures as General Manager at CH Hotel Chiang Mai and Imm Hotel Thaphae, where she consistently delivered outstanding results in revenue growth, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Prior to joining Travelodge Sukhumvit 11, Ms. Darunee held senior roles with TCC Hotels Group, Compass Hospitality, and Amari Atrium Hotel, overseeing multiple properties and leading strategic initiatives in revenue management, cost control, and staff development. Her leadership style emphasises hands-on management, team empowerment, and a commitment to excellence.
