BANGKOK, Thailand (May 2024) – Absolute Hotel Services, a leading hospitality management and branding company in Asia, is delighted to announce its latest venture in Laos with the unveiling of U Luang Prabang. The Absolute Hotel Services Group has signed a hotel management agreement with Khamhong Xaychaleun Steel Industry Factory Sole Limited to expand to a new location in the Luang Prabang UNESCO World Heritage Site. Set to welcome its first guests in early 2025, this new resort represents a significant milestone in the company's continued growth.
U Luang Prabang will showcase 44 guest rooms, suites, and villas, each thoughtfully designed to blend luxury, heritage, comfort, and relaxation with full facilities, including a fitness centre and various food and beverage outlets. Guests can also enjoy the cultural charm of Laos, with monks visiting the hotel entrance for traditional almsgiving with sticky rice.
Luang Prabang is a preserved example of the harmonious blending of two cultures—traditional construction with European colonial design. U Luang Prabang is located in the heart of Luang Prabang's political and religious centre, the peninsula, which features royal and noble residences and religious foundations. Later constructions preserved the traditional urban fabric of the old villages, each with its temple. The colonial influence is evident in the network of streets that harmoniously overlap with the earlier model.
Guests at U Luang Prabang will relish the unparalleled U experience, which includes the unique "24-hour room" concept. Additionally, they can indulge in breakfast whenever and wherever during their stay, courtesy of the U Choose Programme, which allows for a personalised selection of pillows, soap, and tea before their arrival. To add an extra delight, a daily free drink from the well-stocked mini-bar and a 60-minute Happy Hour Drink, available at their convenience, will be part of the package.
